Creating Users "New key" option issue

We have a job from Oracle to Active Directory that contains many fields to update, some containing vb as the transform.  All the fields are set to "New only" except for "City".  The job works fine but noticed records are getting udpated (other then the city field) eventhough the option "New only" is selected for all the fields.  This is causing an issue since we have fields like:  "password", "pwlastset" being used.

    Hi Asmith,

Do you also have the "key" column checkboxes selected for every field that has "New only" selected?

Key is normally required for one field that has a unique numeric value.

Ensure that the 'city' field is selected on the source provider's schema by going on to 'Advance' tab. If the city field is not present on load schema tab then you might want to go on AD side to check and add city field there or you can also add city field manually on DTM load schema fields.

Secondly by selecting 'New Only' , Fields can be updated always or just when creating an item.It is also used to identify a relationship that should only be updated when an object is created.Normally New only check box is selected for unique key fields..

I only want to update the fields when created

As per the help information:}}--> }}-->To identify a relationship that should only be updated when an object is created, check the New only check box for the row.

Can you provide the version and build number of DTM being used?

Providing your environment information (Exchange version etc.) will also be helpful.

We are using DTM Version 3.0.825.0.  We are creating users in AD with Exchange 2007 infrastructure

Re: Creating Users "New key" option issue

We have IRUS installed and that is working fine.  The issue is records are getting udpated (other then the city field) eventhough the option "New only" is selected.

Are you using any Powertools or any other customizations?

Re: Creating Users "New key" option issue

    Hi Asmith,

This issue looks complicated and a lot of time has passed without any solution.

To avoid further delay, please contact Imanami Support (support@imanami.com) with your job files and a sample data file of Oracle database, with only a sample data.

Please also mention this post in your email to let Support know your environment and DTM build information.  Please also mention Domain Controller and DTM's operating system with Service Packs.

You can locate DTM job files at:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Imanami\DTM3\Jobs

The job file will be in .dtmconfig extension.
