    Evaluation of Webdir

    We have got the evaluation keys and have installed the same in our AD. One of the features that interests us is the workflow which is disabled. How can we enable that and test the same.

    Have you seen the WebDir Installation guide? There's a section on workflow in there which servers as a great start. You can download it from: http://www.imanami.com/download/documents/webdir_installation.pdf

    Thanks very much. I managed to to make that working. I configured as instructed. Now when I am logged in as one of users in webdir and try to change the title and save it. it pops with an error as below. I have configured the notification with our email server and from & To address. tested the notification, did receive a test email notification. Could you explain me the from email address should be which address and TO should be offcourse the admins email.

    title set to [aaaaaaaaw].
    Error calling CurrentObject.CommitChanges()
    Error: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.1.1 sorry, no mailbox here by that name (chkuser)

    Hello Ramessh,

    From is used to show where the message is being routed from.  Basically, it is the person or group sending the message.  To is the person or group that will receive the message.  Click on the "Test" button on the "Notification" tab.  Did you receive an error?  If so, please post the error messge on the forum.  More than likely it may be the group or user does not have a mailbox or there is a problem with the SMTP connection.

    One more thing, verify the approver has a mailbox.  I believe the user in question is "chkuser".

    Hi Robin,

    Thanks Robin, I have an issue with workflow now. I logged in as user and made a change to his title and saved the same. it sends an email notification of the change. Now what i am interested is if the user makes the change it has to go through the workflow process. I entered all the details in the workflow tab for "Title" - "is present" as condition - "Approver" - when i try to select my name as approver, it doesn't finds it. I am the member of admin group. only it can select admin as an approver.

    Hello Ramessh,

    Do you have multiple domains in the Active Directory forest?  If so, check the Directory tab of the server node in WebDir System Manager.  Is your account a member of the domain displayed in the Username or DNS Domain Name field?

    We have only one domain and the user is a member of that domain. We tried with other user having administrative privilages, but it would not detect the user. Only the admin is detected.
