Can I set group expiry date in GroupID SSP.

While I am creating the groups through GroupID Self Service Portal, I am not given with the option to set the expiry date. Am I missing something?

     Kind Regards,

    R Brown

    Dear R Brown

The default group expiry policy is set through GroupID system configuration.

Open GroupID Management Console and click Configuration. Click Modify System Configuration.

GroupID MMC à Configuration à Modify System Configuration

You are presented with a Configuration window.

On the Group Lifecycle Tab you can select the Default Expiration Policy from Default Expiration Policy drop down menu.

    Click OK.

    Restart IIS.

Now all the new groups created through GroupID Self Service will follow this default expiration policy.

If you want to implement this policy on the groups created in specific OUs you can select the option Include OUs.

    Click the Modify Button.

Choose the OUs you want to include.

If you want not to implement this policy on the groups created in specific OUs then you can select the option Exclude OUs.

    Click the Modify Button.

Choose the OUs you want to exclude.

    Thanks,

    Furqan
