Imanami Community

We are currently using Imanami Group ID 5.0 and have it setup so that users are allowed to view webdir and update their own profiles. However, we do have some users that need to be reminded =). Is there a function to automate an email reminder to users who have not updated their webdir profiles?

Hi,

There are few ways to accomplish this.  The simpliest method is to simply send an email to all users or the offending users with a link to update their profile.  We handle this internally by creating a SmartGroup that contains all users that are missing any one of the following information:

• Business Phone
• Home Phone
• Mobile Phone

We have an agent (home made) that sends an email to this group once a week wioth the following message:

Subject: Reminder: Update your information in the Global Address Book (GAL)

Hello,

I was perusing the Global Address List (GAL) in Outlook today, when I came across your name. I noticed one or more of the following fields were blank or contained invalid information:

• Business Phone
• Home Phone
• Mobile Phone

The information in these fields can prove to be invaluable when trying to locate you in case of emergency. You can update this information by clicking here. Once you have updated this information I will stop reminding you.
