Imanami® SmartDL™ 4.0 adds many new features including:
- Imported Source Queries - When data is stored in sources that are outside of Active Directory, SmartDL can query those sources AND Active Directory. A SmartDL query can contain multiple fields from sources outside of Active Directory, creating a very flexible robust system. The external data sources include CSV files, Text files, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, LDAP, SunONE iPlanet, and any ODBC compliant Data Source.
- Integrated SmartDL Group Usage Service - Need tools to manage your existing groups? Group Usage Service has now been integrated into SmartDL. Group Usage Service monitors when mail is sent to a group, and updates the timestamp on the group. Use SmartDL reporting to view your unused groups.
- Password Reset Support Notification - Notify users via email that their password is about to expire. Using the SmartDL Query Designer, SmartDL will create a list of accounts with expiring passwords and send reminders to update.
- Enhanced Logging for Auditing - SmartDL logging can now provide audit trail information. Data specifying who made changes, when they made the change, what they made changes to and what the original value was are stored in the event log.
- Enhanced Managerial Dynasty - To support greater flexibility, Managerial Dynasties have been enhanced to support the use of the query designer. Additionally, you can now specify the attribute to use for organizing your child dynasties.
- Access User Properties - By double-clicking on a group member in the member list, you can now view the properties of that user.
- Microsoft .NET Framework - Built from the ground up using the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. Imanami’s Group Management Products (WebDir and SmartDL) share libraries and code bases for a seamless infrastructure.
