Description:
DTM jobs can take a considerably long time to complete if those jobs involve synchronising large amounts of data. However, there are two ways that may help to improve DTM's performance when synchronizing a job:
- The first would be to split the DTM jobs by letters of the alphabet.
- The second would be to use the DTM command line parameter, which may be called using a .bat file. In most cases, it can reduce the update by half or more of the time that was experienced prior to using the command line method.
To run a DTM job using the command line, please follow the steps provided below:
-
On the machine that DTM is installed, select the Start menu->Programs->Imanami->Directory Transformation Manager 3.0->DTM Command Prompt.
At the command prompt, please type the following: isync.exe <myDTMJobName>.dtmconfig , then press the Enter key on your keyboard to begin the job run
Note:
You may see a different command in the example within the DTM Command Prompt. Please ignore the example, it no longer uses the executable specified in the command.
