Attribute access-levels don't work on search result when sent to Excel ?

I have set the access-level for some attributes, so if you are a plain user you can't see them in "My properties". And the if the same user runs a search wich involves theese hidden attributes she still can't see them in the result, wich is normal. But when you send it to Excel all the hidden attributes are shown, how is that possible ? A bugg ?

     Sincerely

    Hello Jonas,

The send to Excel option uses the "Search Forms" tab of the design node to determine the fields displayed in the Excel export.  Search forms do not have access levels to determine what is displayed when a search or export to Excel is performed.  I will add your request to the WebDir wishlist for consideration in a future release of the product.  In the meantime, you can remove the field from the search page that you do not want visible to WebDir users by:

    1. Opening the WebDir System Manager console

    2. Click on the "Design" node under the virtual server name.

    3. Select the "Search Forms" tab.

    4. Click on the "Default" option in the Windows.  Then click on the "Edit" button.

    5. Remove the hidden field under the "Search Results" and "Search Form" windows by highlighting the field and clicking on the "Remove" button.  Then click on the "OK" button to close the dialog box.

    6. Click on the "Floppy" disk (or use File->Save from the menu) displayed in the WebDir System Manager console to save the change.

    7. Log into WebDir.

If you have question about the information provided above, please post back with your response.  Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Ok that explains it. I must correct the question because as you say the search result also show the hidden attributes.

Could you have more than one search result then because as administrator you would like to be able to request all the data ?

    Sincerely

    Hello Jonas B,

Create a second virtual server that is accessible by Administrators only.  This would allow you to limit the search performed by WebDir users when they log into the first URL.

Yes thats the way I have to do it. Feels a little like a workaround but it will work.

    Thank's
