Logging Levels and Event Viewer filling up

    Hi

Just wondering if there are different logging levels in SmartDL 4.0? Just that we are running scheduling for a number of dynasties but after a week or so the Imanami SmartDL Event Log fills up and stops the scheduled job from running again. As soon as we clear the log in Event Viewer it is OK and starts again but would obviously like to just leave alone and let it update without intervention.

Looking in the logs there don't appear to be any Warnings or Errors to worry about.

    Cheers

    Charlie

Re: Logging Levels and Event Viewer filling up

    Hello Charlie,

To turn down the logging in SmartDL 4.0, please follow the steps provided below:

    1. Open the SmartDL console

    2. Select "Tools->Options" from the file menu.

    3. Click on "LogLevel" in the toolbar of the Options dialog box.

    4.  Select the first radio button displayed, which will log errors only.

Also, we recommend changing a setting provided in the Event Viewer, please follow the step below to perform this task:

    1. Go to Administrative Tools->Event Viewer to open the Windows Event Viewer console.

    2. Right-click on the Imanami SmartDL event log and select "Properties".

    3. Change the event to "overwrite as needed", then click ok to claose the dialog box.

Both changes will prevent the behavior reported from occuring when a scheduled job runs.  Let me know if the information was helpful.
