Hi, I´m testing DTM trying to sync a SunONE Directory Server with a Exchange 2003,(from SunONE to Exchange) but unfortunately, I´m not able to set the Source for the password on SunONE Directory users. I guess it could be some restriction setup into my SunONE, but still not found.

Do you have any idea about this?

Ok, I tried with SunOne.XML predefined layout and now I see "userpassword" field, I ran the job successfully but I´m not able to log into targeted W2003 Server with the synchronized user. I reset the password of the synchronized user and I got to log in so... I guess I´m still not able to get the password field correctly from my SunOne, is it right?

It sounds like you are trying to sync password from iPlanet to AD.  If iPlanet is storing the password in clear text you can sync it to AD but keep in mind that DTM is calling ResetPassword on the AD user.  It cannot read the AD password to know whether it needs to by synced so it will just sync it everytime.  I'm not sure that is something you want to do

I understand that DTM can´t read AD password to know whether it needs to be sync, but could I force to set iPlanet password on every job, even it´s not saved in clear text? Or is it not possible due to cypher algorithm?)

If iPlanet will give the password in clear text, you could do this.  For example, if I had an Excel spreadsheet full of usernames and passwords I could sync it using DTM to AD and reset everyone's password.  I want this to work for you, but I hope iPlanet doesn't give up passwords in clear text!
