    CAUSE

This issue will occur when LDAP signing is enabled for Windows 2003 SP1.

    WORKAROUND

Disabling LDAP Signing provides a workaround solution to this issue.  The following steps will walk you through disabling this feature for Windows 2003:

    1. Go to Administrative Tools and select Security Configuration Wizard.
    2. Scroll through the wizard until you come to the Registry section.
    3. Click Next twice, and then deselect the checkbox under the LDAP Signing Required label.
    3. Continue through the wizard to apply your changes.
