This article applies to:
SYMPTOM
When you attempt to run a DTM job to perform a sync to Active Directory or Exchange 5.5, you may receive the error, "Specified Method is not supported" in the log file and the objects are not created or updated.
CAUSE
The issue will present itself when Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 is installed on the same machine as DTM. The cause of this issue is due to Microsoft’s changes to the way the property cache works in the DirectoryServices.dll.
RESOLUTION
A hotfix is available from Microsoft as discussed in these articles.
