Updating the custom attribute in a mail contact from an excel sheet.

    Hello,

I would like to update the custom attribute1 field in an existing Mail Contact from an excel spread sheet.  Is this possible?  I have not had any luck in getting it to work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

    Hi Jerry,

Do you get any error message?

Are you able to select 'Custom Attribute 1'  in step 4 of job creation?

Additionally, which other attributes are you mapping? Which one is the primary key?

    Thanks.

    Hi Usman,

No I don't receive any error messages.  Yes I am able to select 'Custom Attribute 1' in step 4 of the job creation.

I was using the 'alias' as the primary key.  The only thing I really need to update is the Custom Attribute 1 field.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

Re: Updating the custom attribute in a mail contact from an excel sheet.

    Hi Jerry,

Using Alias as a primary key may be causing the problem.

Do you have employee id or another unique value to use?

If you use another key and still face the problem, please let us know and it may require further investigation.

In that case please email the details to support@imanami.com and we will open a support ticket for this issue.

    Thanks.

I tried the email address and the common name as the primary key; and neither worked. I will go ahead and send an email to support.

    Thanks,

    Jerry
