WebDir does not set the legacyExchangeDN when a mailbox is created
|
This article applies to:
|
| Symptom |
| Mailbox accounts created using WebDir cannot log in to their Windows client machine using domain\username and password. |
| Cause |
| This occurs because the LegacyExchangeDN is not controlled by the RUS (Recipient Update Service). Therefore, any Exchange-enabled object (group, user, even contact) must have a unique LegacyExchangeDN if Exchange is in Mixed Mode. Imanami.DirectoryServices is not detecting the Exchange mode in order to properly set the LegacyExchangeDN. WebDir must tell Imanami.DirectoryServices which LegacyExchangeDN (Administration Group) to put the user in order for this function to perform correctly. |
| Resolution |
| This issue will be resolved in the next full version release of Imanami WebDir. Imanami has confirmed this to be an issue with the products referenced above. |
