Is SmartDL version 3.3 compatible with Exchange 2007?  We are going to migrate from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007 in a different forest and we'd like to know if the current version of SmartDL is compatible?  Thanks.

SmartDL is not compatible with Exchange 2007 out of the box. It needs a small component called iRUS (Imanami Recipient Update Service) available for free to all customers.

iRUS makes SmartDL compatible with Exchange 2007.

 Additionally, the latest version of SmartDL which is named 'Automate' is compatible with Exchange 2007 out of the box.

 

So if we migrate to Exchange 2007, the product will not work without the iRUS component?  Correct?  Is the free download available for all customers with support purchased or for all customers with or without a support package?

You are right, SmartDL will not work properly in Exchange 2007 environment without iRUS.  If you have both Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 in your environment, then SmartDL will continue to work without iRUS.

THe iRUS component is available to all customers whose maintenance is active.
